At the age of 13, King City, born Marcus Beretta, received a video camera for his birthday. A gift from his parents, the big idea was that the boy who watched movies in every second of his spare time would grow up to become an esteemed director. But not a single video clip was ever recorded on that camera. Instead, only pictures. Then, in his last year of high school, Beretta became completely obsessed with turning his life’s passion into his living profession. Through hard work and a clear vision, he enrolled in Humber’s Creative Photography program, and now at the age of 22, Beretta has been shooting professionally for 2 years, has already held a solo photo showing in Toronto and has been apart of two group photo exhibits.
